Robbie, Noel and the Brits

Robbie, Noel and the Brits

On the eve of the Brit nominations our friends, the girls from 3am, decided to make it all the more interesting by reporting of a scathing attack by Noel Gallagher on Robbie's Rudebox Album:

NOEL Gallagher has launched a new, foulmouthed attack on troubled Robbie Williams - branding his music "f****** dog s***".

Rubbing salt in the singer's wounds after he was snubbed by the Brit Awards for his barking album Rudebox, Noel said that even Rob knows just how bad his music has become.

The Oasis star - once a friend of Williams - raged: "As he tends to refer to himself in the third person, Robbie Williams is obviously a character that he's invented and the music he makes is f****** dog s***t. And I think even Robbie would probably agree with that."

[More:]

A couple of quick points: Has Noel ever listened to Rudebox or is this just his usual rant about everyone and everything under the sun? Or is this just the usual tabloid rubbish put together with the names Robbie Williams and Noel Gallagher (of course interchangeable with various others), because they sell papers?

These girls must really hate Robbie as they frantically try to persuade us in the rest of the article just how finished Robbie is and just how bad Rudebox is:

Robbie Williams Rudebox

Noel's savaging comes after we revealed how Brits judges wisely decided not to nominate Robbie for his crappy album Rudebox - the first time in 10 years his "work" has been ignored.

Robbie will only be in the running for an award for his tour when the Brits nominations are announced today in a star-studded ceremony at London's Hammersmith Palais.

But don't worry, there's one gong he is expected to clinch - Worst Album Of The Year at the NME Awards.

"There are a number of dire contenders," says our mole, "but Robbie is picking up a lot of votes from readers who think his album is a real stinker. They also believe that his dogged attempts to reinvent himself are laughable and a desperate, last ditch bid to be cool."

Noel's latest verbal lashing reignites the feud between the pair, after the rocker lampooned him for being the "fat dancer from Take That".

And it will be especially hard for Rob to take as Oasis are headlining the Brits on February 14 - and collecting the prestigious gong for Outstanding Contribution to music.

Meanwhile, Robbie's Rudebox - panned by critics - has dropped right out of the top 40.

As we revealed last week, his dismal festive sales are said to have been a contributing factor to turmoil at his record company EMI. Last week, boss Alain Levy and deputy David Munns were suddenly axed.

Now Robbie's fraught PR people are trying to whip up publicity for the album's third single. And, guess what? In the video, Rob has gone back to what he loves most - prancing around in make-up and drag. Talk about desperate...

No comment, apart from NME loved Rudebox giving it an 8 out of 10 and it wouldn't come as a surprise if their readers were to vote it worst album, as they are not known as Robbie fans.

Isn't the award that Oasis will be presented with, usually reserved for musicians at the end of their careers? The only substantiated part of the article, I have found is that Robbie has only been nominated for "British live act".
Sorry this no comment just kept growing.
