According to the Daily Star Robbie Williams is amazing staff, at the exclusive Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona, by laughing his way to recovery.

And if their "family source" is to be believed he could be out of the clinic before the end of the 30 day course - maybe even this week!

Pete Conway, Robbie's dad said: "Robbie is in good humour, cracking jokes and on good form. I’m extremely positive about him – he is doing well. I speak to him every day and he is in fine fettle."

He added he'll be flying out to join him in America and that he has plenty of family and friends to support him. Of course his mum, Jan, will also be there to give him her tireless support who said, last week: "going into rehab is the best birthday gift he could have given himself."

The Star even has a theory into why he has plunged into depression and addiction namely that the girl he fell in love with at the age of 16, Rachael Gilson married last summer. If their sources are to be believed the two remained close and Robbie nurtured hopes that some day she would eventually marry him. But although happy for her, he was hurt deep down and hasn’t spoken to her since.

I think we can take the last part of the story with a pinch of salt and hope the first part is true. Although Robbie is probably a difficult person to judge if he really is recovering or if he feels has to put on an act?
